# Rebrandly Alternatives for Branded Short Links

Rebrandly's free plan gives you 10 branded links a month; more links, a second domain or device data start at $11 a month billed yearly, and teammates at $32. If you want branded short links without a monthly link count, LotsLink charges $4 a month for your own domain, with unlimited links, clicks, QR codes and teammates. Short.io, Dub, Bitly and six others are below.

I opened Rebrandly's pricing page and MCP docs, and each alternative's own pricing page, on 17 October 2026. I compared what matters when the point is your own domain on your links: what a custom domain costs and on which plan, how many branded links you get, which click data you see, whether ChatGPT or Claude can run it over MCP or an API, and how many people can work in it.

## Rebrandly alternatives at a glance

## What Rebrandly gives you today

Here's what Rebrandly's own pricing page showed on 17 October 2026, since that's the baseline you're comparing against:

- **Free:** 10 links and 10 QR codes a month (the QR codes carry a watermark), custom back-halves, one link gallery, unlimited clicks and scans, and one custom domain plus the rebrand.ly domain. The plan card names the free domain as a yourbrand.bio address, while the comparison table just says 1 domain, so check which one you'd get before you plan around it.
- **Analytics on Free:** total clicks and country, with detailed engagement data on 100 clicks a month. Device type and unique clicks start on Essentials; referral source and city start on Professional.
- **Essentials:** $11 a month billed yearly, or $16 month to month. 250 links and 250 QR codes a month, 2 custom domains, engagement data on 10,000 clicks a month, 10 destination edits a month. One workspace, no teammates.
- **Professional:** $32 a month billed yearly, or $39 month to month. 1,500 links a month, 3 domains, 2 workspaces and teammates, conversion tracking, city data, password protection, link expiration and traffic routing.
- **Growth:** $149 a month billed yearly, or $179 month to month. 3,500 links a month, 10 domains, 5 workspaces and teammates, mobile deep linking.
- **MCP:** Rebrandly's MCP server (`https://mcp.rebrandly.com/v1/mcp`) is on every plan. Claude connects with a Rebrandly sign-in from its connector directory; Gemini CLI, Cursor, VS Code, Codex and others use an API key header. Its docs say links created through the MCP count toward your monthly link limit. Its tools reference covers links, analytics, workspaces, tags, routing rules and listing or attaching domains; it lists no QR code tool and no tool to add a new domain.

So the pressure points are the monthly link count, the 2-domain cap on Essentials, and teammates starting at Professional. That's where most alternatives differ.

## 1. LotsLink: your own domain for $4, links and teammates unlimited

I built LotsLink because I wanted branded links without counting them. The pricing is the other way round from most shorteners: links, clicks, QR codes, analytics and team members are free and unlimited, and the one thing you pay for is your own domain.

- **Custom domain cost:** $4 per domain a month on pay as you go, charged daily from credits. Or a plan with a block of domains: Starter $9 a month for 3, Pro $24 for 10, Business $59 for 30. Yearly is ten monthly payments. You keep the domain registration; you point it at LotsLink with a CNAME and LotsLink verifies the hostname and the HTTPS certificate.
- **Branded links:** unlimited on every domain you add, with custom slugs, UTM fields, expiry dates and projects. One free lots.link subdomain per person comes with every account. The one guardrail is speed: up to 1,000 new links per person in any rolling 24 hours.
- **Analytics:** every click is recorded with country, city, device and referrer when available, a daily timeline, individual click records, and CSV or JSON export, for any period up to 365 days. Known bots, link previews and prefetches aren't counted.
- **QR codes:** unlimited. A QR code opens the short link, so scans show up in that link's analytics. Here's [how to track QR code scans](https://lots.link/blog/track-qr-code-scans).
- **MCP and API:** the MCP server at `https://api.lots.link/mcp` (OAuth, no key) and the REST API are on every account, free included, with 34 tools. Your agent can add and verify your custom domain itself (`lotslink_add_custom_domain`, `lotslink_verify_custom_domain`), create links, make QR codes and read analytics. Setup for each agent is on [lots.link/mcp](https://lots.link/mcp).
- **Team seats:** unlimited workspaces and members, with owner, admin, member and viewer roles. The agent acts as the signed-in person with their role.

Eligible new users get 4,000 free credits, valid 90 days, with no card. That covers one custom domain for about a month. Every number is on [the pricing page](https://lots.link/pricing).

**Rebrandly versus LotsLink, same job:** 3 custom domains and a teammate on Rebrandly means Professional at $32 a month billed yearly, with 1,500 links a month. On LotsLink, 3 domains is Starter at $9 a month, with unlimited links and as many teammates as you invite.

Choose LotsLink if you want your own domain on every link, a team in the same workspace, and your AI agent doing the work, without a monthly link count.

## 2. Short.io: five branded domains on the free plan

Short.io's free plan is the most generous on domains: 5 custom domains, 1,000 branded links over the life of the account (plus 1,000 through the API or bulk create), and 50,000 tracked clicks a month with countries, devices, languages and a time chart. Redirects are unlimited. Its FAQ says that past 50,000 clicks it keeps collecting data but restricts your view until you upgrade. One user on Free, Hobby and Pro; unlimited users on Team.

Paid plans: Hobby $5 a month (7 domains, 2,500 links), Pro $18 (10 domains, unlimited branded links), Team $48 (50 domains). The API and an AI assistant are on every plan. Its MCP server at `https://ai-assistant.short.io/mcp` connects with an API key, and its help article says the MCP can't edit or delete existing links.

Choose Short.io if you want several branded domains free and your link count stays under 1,000.

## 3. Dub: three free domains and a path to conversion tracking

Dub's Links free plan has 3 custom domains, 25 new links a month, 1,000 tracked events a month, 30 days of analytics retention, QR codes, UTM templates, API access and one user. Pro is $30 a month with 1,000 new links, 10 domains, 3 users and a year of retention; Business ($90) adds conversion tracking, A/B testing and 10 users.

Dub's API reference says analytics endpoints need Pro, so on Free you read analytics in the dashboard. A note on MCP: Dub's MCP docs page now documents its Partners server. The Links MCP is a separate server at `https://mcp.dub.sh/mcp/dub-links`, with 32 tools including link creation, QR codes, analytics and domains, and Dub doesn't state which plan it needs.

Choose Dub if you make a couple dozen links a month now and expect to need conversion tracking later.

## 4. Bitly: the familiar name, branded links from Growth

Bitly's Free and Core plans have no branded links. Your own domain starts on Growth: $29 a month billed yearly ($348 a year), or $35 month to month, with one complimentary custom domain, 500 links a month and 120 days of click data. Multiple custom domains and multiple users with group permissions are Enterprise. City and device data start on Premium ($199 a month billed yearly). The Bitly MCP server is listed on every plan, and Free includes 1,000 API requests a month. I compared the two in detail in [LotsLink vs Bitly](https://lots.link/blog/lotslink-vs-bitly).

Choose Bitly if a bit.ly-style link your audience recognises matters more to you than your own domain.

## 5. Linkly: one free domain, unlimited teammates

Linkly's free plan has 100 links and 500 clicks a month, custom back-halves, one custom domain, country-level analytics and full API access. Its pricing FAQ says free links pause until the next reset once you pass the click quota. Device, browser and OS data start on Starter ($15 a month, billed yearly only), and Pro ($32 a month billed yearly) brings 3 domains and 1,000 links a month. Its feature table lists unlimited team members on every plan, Free included.

Linkly runs an MCP server at `https://mcp.linklyhq.com` with OAuth sign-in and tools to create, update and search links, read analytics and list domains. Its MCP page doesn't state a plan requirement.

Choose Linkly if you want a free branded domain with teammates and your traffic stays under 500 clicks a month.

## 6. Linkbreakers: QR-first, with a free MCP server

Linkbreakers is built around QR codes and the journey after the scan: landing pages, forms, contact cards and routing. Free includes 1 custom domain, 1 team member, 500 tracked journeys and 250 API calls a month, and 2 weeks of analytics. Light is $5.90 a month billed yearly ($7.90 monthly) with 2 domains, 5 members and 3 months of history; Pro is $24.90 billed yearly with 5 domains and 15 members. Its help center says the MCP server at `https://mcp.linkbreakers.com` is free for all users, with your plan's API rate limits.

Choose Linkbreakers if your branded links mostly live on printed QR codes and you want lead capture after the scan.

## 7. Cuttly: full click charts on a free branded domain

Cuttly's free plan includes one branded domain, 30 short links and 3 custom back-halves a month, unlimited clicks, and per-link charts by referrer, device, OS, browser, language and country, with 30 days of history. The free API allows 3 calls a minute and covers the cutt.ly domain; branded-domain links through the API start on Starter ($12 a month, 300 links). Team features start on the Team plan at $99 a month.

Choose Cuttly if 30 branded links a month is enough and you want detailed charts on each.

## 8. Replug: three free domains with marketing extras

Replug's free plan has 100 short links, 3 custom domains, 10 QR codes, 2 bio link pages and 1,000 clicks a month, for one user. Essentials is $9.50 a month billed yearly ($19 monthly) with 1,000 links and 5 domains; Scale ($23.40 billed yearly) brings unlimited links, 15 domains and 3 users. Its FAQ says that past the monthly click limit, links keep working but call-to-action overlays and retargeting pixels pause until the cycle ends. API access is listed on Enterprise.

Choose Replug if you want branded domains free and plan to use its CTAs, pixels and A/B tests.

## 9. Switchy: unlimited links with retargeting pixels

Switchy has no free plan. Team is $47 a month with unlimited links and pixels, 2 custom domains, 10,000 clicks a month and one user; Pro is $83 with 5 domains and 5 users. Plans are priced by clicks, and yearly billing gives 2 months free. Its pricing page lists no API or MCP.

Choose Switchy if retargeting pixels on every link are the reason you shorten links.

## Where Rebrandly still fits

Rebrandly does things LotsLink doesn't. You can change a link's destination after sharing it (10 edits a month on Essentials, more on higher plans); on LotsLink you create a new link instead. Professional adds conversion tracking, traffic routing by location or device, and password protection, and Growth adds mobile deep linking. Rebrandly counts unique clicks from Essentials, lists SOC 2 Type 2 and HIPAA compliance, and is in Claude's connector directory for one-click sign-in. If you need those, stay, or pick Dub for conversions.

## How to choose

## Move from Rebrandly with your AI agent

If your domain points at Rebrandly today, links on it stop working on Rebrandly once you point the domain at LotsLink. So recreate the links first, or start on a new subdomain such as `go.yourbrand.com`. Connect `https://api.lots.link/mcp` to your agent and sign in with your Lots account. In Claude Code that's:

```
claude mcp add --transport http lots-link https://api.lots.link/mcp
```

If you also connect Rebrandly's MCP server, the agent can read your existing links from it. Then ask:

> List my Rebrandly links on go.yourbrand.com with their destinations. In LotsLink, add go.yourbrand.com as a custom domain in my workspace and show me the DNS record to add. After I add it, verify the domain, then recreate each link on it with the same destination, the same slug when it's 7 to 40 characters long, and utm_source and utm_medium from its tags. Make a QR code for the three most-clicked links, and invite sam@yourbrand.com as a member.

Behind that prompt the agent uses `lotslink_add_custom_domain`, `lotslink_verify_custom_domain`, `lotslink_create_link`, `lotslink_create_qr_code` and `lotslink_invite_workspace_member`. Click history stays in Rebrandly; LotsLink counts clicks from the switch. The full walkthrough is in [how to create and track short links from Claude or ChatGPT](https://lots.link/blog/create-track-short-links-claude-chatgpt).

## Common questions

### What is a good free alternative to Rebrandly?

### How much does a custom domain cost on Rebrandly?

Free includes one domain. Essentials covers 2 domains for $11 a month billed yearly ($16 month to month), Professional 3 for $32 billed yearly, and Growth 10 for $149 billed yearly, as of 17 October 2026. On LotsLink a custom domain is $4 a month, or $9 a month for three.

### Which Rebrandly alternatives have an MCP server?

LotsLink, Short.io, Dub, Bitly, Linkly and Linkbreakers each document an official MCP server. LotsLink's is at https://api.lots.link/mcp on every account and can add your custom domain, create links and QR codes, and read click analytics.

### Can I get branded short links for free?

Yes, within limits. Short.io (5 domains), Dub and Replug (3), and Rebrandly, Linkly, Linkbreakers and Cuttly (1) include a custom domain on Free, each with link or click caps. LotsLink gives a free lots.link subdomain, and your own domain is $4 a month with unlimited links.
