TinyURL's free plan makes 30 links a month with no click tracking: its pricing page lists tracked clicks and the analytics dashboard on Pro, from $9 a month billed yearly. LotsLink gives you unlimited links, QR codes and click analytics free, and charges only if you add your own domain. Five more alternatives with free click data are below.
I opened TinyURL's pricing page and each alternative's own pricing page on 26 October 2026. I compared what you get free: how many links, whether you can see clicks, and whether your own domain is possible. Then what the cheapest paid step costs.

What TinyURL gives you today
Here is what TinyURL's pricing page and its Free plan help article showed on 26 October 2026, since it's the baseline you're comparing against:
- Free ($0): 30 links a month, custom aliases, a QR code with every link, and links that never expire. The plan table shows no tracked clicks, no analytics dashboard, no editing or deleting of links and no link expiry dates.
- Pro ($9 a month billed yearly, $108 a year, or $11 month to month): 125 links a month, unlimited tracked clicks, 3 branded domains, tags, edit and delete, expiry dates, and 2 years of analytics history with referrer, geography, device, OS and browser breakdowns.
- Bulk 50K ($69 a month billed yearly, $83 monthly): 50,000 links and 50,000 tracked clicks a month, built for links sent one per recipient.
- Enterprise (from $3,999 a year): custom volumes and a 99.9% uptime SLA.
So if you want to know whether anyone clicked, you're on Pro. That's where the alternatives differ.
1. LotsLink: free links, QR codes and click analytics, pay only for your domain
Short links, clicks, QR codes, analytics, workspaces and teammates are unlimited on every LotsLink account. The one thing you pay for is your own domain. Here is exactly what the free side includes.
- Free short links: unlimited on lots.link, with custom slugs (7 to 40 characters), UTM fields, expiry dates and projects. Every person also gets one free lots.link subdomain, ready at once. The only guardrail is speed: up to 1,000 new links per person in any rolling 24 hours.
- Click analytics, free: all-time total, clicks in a period, daily timeline, top countries and cities, devices and referrers, individual click records, and CSV or JSON export for any period up to 365 days. Clicks are recorded visits, not people. Known bots, link previews and prefetches aren't counted, and a repeat visit within 10 seconds counts once.
- QR codes: unlimited and free. A scan opens the short link and is recorded as a click on it.
- Change where a link goes: any time, free, in the dashboard or from your agent. The short URL and QR code stay the same and the change reaches every visitor at once. LotsLink records each change with the old and new address. On TinyURL, editing a destination is a Pro feature.
- Your own domain: $4 a month per domain on pay as you go, charged daily from credits. Or a plan with a block of domains: Starter $9 a month for 3, Pro $24 for 10, Business $59 for 30, and yearly is ten monthly payments. You keep the registration and point a CNAME at LotsLink, which verifies the hostname and the HTTPS certificate.
- Team: unlimited workspaces and members, with owner, admin, member and viewer roles, so a client or colleague can read the numbers without editing anything.
- From your AI agent: LotsLink works with the AI agent you already use. Connect
https://api.lots.link/mcpor use the REST API, on every account, free included. Setup for each agent is on lots.link/mcp.
Eligible new users get 4,000 free credits, valid 90 days, with no card, which covers one custom domain for about a month. Every number is on the pricing page, and LotsLink pricing explained goes through each case.
Choose LotsLink if you want free links and click data without a monthly count, QR codes you can repoint after printing, and your own domain for a few dollars when you're ready. The wider list is in the best free URL shorteners with analytics.
2. Short.io: the biggest free click allowance
Short.io's free plan has 50,000 tracked clicks a month, shown with countries, devices, languages and a time chart, plus 5 custom domains and one user. Its limit is on links, not clicks: 1,000 branded links in total, issued once and used over the life of the account, and a separate 1,000 through the API or bulk create. Redirects themselves are unlimited.
Paid plans start at Hobby for $5 a month (7 domains, 2,500 links), then Pro at $18 (10 domains, unlimited branded links, passwords and link expiry) and Team at $48 (50 domains, unlimited users). The API is on every plan. Domain registration isn't included in any plan.
Choose Short.io if you want several branded domains and plenty of click data free and you'll create fewer than 1,000 links. The side-by-side is in LotsLink vs Short.io.
3. Linkly: 100 links, country-level data and a full API
Linkly's free plan has 100 links and 500 clicks a month, custom back-halves, one custom domain, country-level click analytics and full API access. Its pricing FAQ says that on the free plan, links pause until the next period once you pass the click quota; on paid plans links keep redirecting and you buy a click add-on.
Starter is $15 a month, billed annually only, with 250 links, 2,000 clicks, device, browser and OS data, a UTM builder and custom QR codes. Pro is $32 a month billed annually with 1,000 links, 10,000 clicks and 3 domains.
Choose Linkly if you want country data and a free branded domain and your traffic stays under 500 clicks a month.
4. Dub: three free domains, with conversion tracking higher up
Dub's free plan has 25 new links and 1,000 tracked events a month, real-time analytics with 30 days of history, 3 custom domains, QR codes, UTM templates, API access and one user. Pro is $27 a month billed yearly, with 12,000 new links and 600,000 tracked events a year, a year of analytics retention and folders. Business is $81 a month billed yearly and adds conversion tracking, A/B testing and event webhooks. Paid plans start with a 14-day trial.
Choose Dub if you create a couple dozen links a month now and expect to need conversion tracking later. More is in LotsLink vs Dub.
5. Replug: 100 links and 1,000 clicks free, with bio pages
Replug's free plan has 100 short links, 1,000 clicks a month, 3 custom domains, 10 smart QR codes, 2 bio link pages and one user. Its pricing page says your links keep working if you reach a limit. Essentials is $9.50 a month billed annually ($19 month to month) with 1,000 links, 10,000 clicks, 5 domains and a retargeting pixel; paid plans include a 14-day trial.
Choose Replug if you also want link-in-bio pages and retargeting pixels from the same tool.
6. Cuttly: unlimited clicks, 30 days of history
Cuttly's free plan has 30 links a month, 3 custom back-halves a month, one branded domain, unlimited link clicks and 30 days of analytics history, with a single QR style. Starter is $12 a month ($132 a year) with 300 links and editable redirects within the same domain; Single is $25 a month ($275 a year) with 5,000 links, 5 domains and 365 days of history.
Choose Cuttly if you make a few dozen links a month and a month of click history is enough.
Where TinyURL still fits
TinyURL is the name people recognise, and its free plan keeps the basics simple: a short link, a custom alias and a QR code, with links that never expire. Pro adds 3 branded domains and 2 years of analytics history, the Bulk plan suits links sent one per recipient, and Enterprise brings a 99.9% uptime SLA. If you only need to shorten a link and never look at the clicks, the free plan does that.
How to choose

Move from TinyURL with your AI agent
You don't have to move your old links: TinyURL's own Free plan page says links never expire, so existing tinyurl.com links keep redirecting. Start new links on LotsLink. TinyURL's free plan can't edit a destination, so a link you want to repoint later is one to recreate on LotsLink and share from now on.
Connect https://api.lots.link/mcp to your agent and sign in with your Lots account. In Claude Code that's:
claude mcp add --transport http lots-link https://api.lots.link/mcp
Then paste the destinations you use most and ask:
Here are my 15 most-shared destination URLs. In LotsLink, create a short link for each with a readable custom slug and utm_source=tinyurl-move. Make a QR code for the top three, and send me the short URLs in a table. In a week, read the click analytics for each link and tell me which got the most clicks, from which countries and referrers.
Behind that prompt the agent uses lotslink_create_link, lotslink_create_qr_code and lotslink_get_link_analytics. Later, "point the spring menu link at the winter menu" is one lotslink_update_link call and the printed code doesn't change. The full walkthrough is in how to create and track short links from Claude or ChatGPT, and how to change a QR code's link after printing shows the edit step.
Common questions
Does TinyURL have free click tracking?
No. TinyURL's pricing page (checked on 26 October 2026) shows tracked clicks and the analytics dashboard as Pro features, from $9 a month billed yearly. Its Free plan gives you 30 links a month. LotsLink, Short.io, Linkly, Dub and Cuttly all show click data on their free plans.
What is the best free alternative to TinyURL?
It depends on what you need free. LotsLink gives you unlimited links, QR codes and click analytics, and charges only for your own domain ($4 a month). Short.io gives you 50,000 tracked clicks a month and 5 domains with 1,000 links in total. Linkly, Dub and Replug cap clicks or events at 500 to 1,000 a month.
Can I use my own domain with a free TinyURL alternative?
Yes, with several. Short.io's free plan has 5 custom domains, Dub and Replug have 3, and Linkly and Cuttly have one. On LotsLink you get one free lots.link subdomain, and your own domain costs $4 a month on pay as you go or $9 a month for 3 on Starter (checked on 26 October 2026). On TinyURL, bringing your own domain is a Pro feature.
Can I change where a short link goes after I share it?
On LotsLink, yes, any time and on every account: the short URL and QR code stay the same and the change reaches every visitor at once. On TinyURL, editing a destination is a Pro feature. Cuttly allows editable redirects from Starter, within the same domain.
What happens to my existing TinyURL links if I switch?
They keep working. TinyURL's Free plan page says links created there never expire, so links you've already shared still redirect. New links go on the tool you choose, and links you want to keep editing are worth recreating there.
Can ChatGPT or Claude create my short links?
Yes, on LotsLink. Its MCP server works on every account, free included, and the agent can create links, make QR codes, change destinations and read click data. It's the same free account you use in the dashboard.
