QR codes
Free QR code generator for your short links
LotsLink’s free QR code generator lets you make a QR code for any short link from the AI agent you already use, and in the dashboard. QR codes are free and unlimited and download as PNG images. Each code opens your short URL, so scans show up as visits in the same click analytics as your links.
How it works
Ask your agent
- “Shorten https://example.com/spring-menu as spring-menu and make a QR code for it.”
- “Make a QR code for my spring-sale link so I can print it on the flyer.”
- “How many visits did the spring-menu link get this week?”
Or in the dashboard
- 1Sign in at lots.link and create a short link (or pick one you already have).
- 2Open QR codes, choose the link and select Generate QR Code.
- 3Download the PNG and put it on your flyer, menu, packaging or poster.
- 4Open Analytics to see the visits that came through the short URL.
Your agent for speed, the dashboard for control: everything your agent does appears in your dashboard, within your role.
The facts
QR codes are free and unlimited on every account, with no plan needed.
Each QR code is a PNG image of your short URL, ready to download, print or share.
A scan that opens the short URL is recorded as a visit, with device and location when available. Known bots and link previews are left out.
Your agent makes QR codes over MCP with the lotslink_create_qr_code tool. Owners and admins can make one for any link, members for links they created.
Links, clicks and QR codes are free and unlimited. Fair use allows up to 1,000 new links per person in any 24 hours (rolling).
Questions
Is the QR code generator really free?
Yes. QR codes, short links on lots.link and clicks are free and unlimited on every account. You pay only if you add your own custom domain.
Do QR code scans show up in analytics?
A scan that opens the LotsLink short URL goes through the same redirect as a click and is recorded as a visit. A QR code that points straight to another website bypasses LotsLink. Analytics show recorded visits, not unique people.
What file format do I get?
A PNG image of the short URL. Download it from the dashboard, or ask your agent, which returns an image URL you can download or share.
What happens to a printed QR code if I change the link?
The QR code holds the short URL. Changing the link’s slug changes that URL, so printed codes that use the old slug stop matching. Keep the slug of any link you have printed.
Can my AI agent make QR codes?
Yes. Connect LotsLink to Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor or another MCP agent and ask it to make a QR code for a link. It uses the lotslink_create_qr_code tool and your workspace role.
